Hi Norman, thanks for your reply.

I'm open to any Sonor floorstanders, yes. But something as high-end as possible. I'm more concerned with quality and pairing than age or aesthetics. Do you perhaps have something that fits the bill?

Regards,
Joe

I suggest you get in touch with Roy (Sonor Audio) directly. The Claro 6.2 will pair very well with the Predator. 8.2 will be even better. I have a set of 6.1 on an Exclamé 150 and couldn't be happier. Expect around 6+ weeks delivery time from date of order as they are manufactured on demand.

Thanks for the input! Good to hear I'm on the right track with the pairing. I'll certainly get in touch with Roy. Is the contact form on the Sonor website the best route?

FJP the guys are right if your budget is up to it speak to Roy (in Jhb) or Lance in Cape Town and order a set of 8.2s Roy and Schalk Havenga (Valve Audio) returned this weekend from exhibiting to rave reviews at the Munich High-End Audio Show

Thanks for all the info guys. I'm considering buying new, but the 8.2s are likely over budget. So something used with specs in the 8.2 ballpark would still be of interest!

I have a pair of Sonor Procyon, absolute mint condition and in Cherry veneer. Asking R32k for the set. This is way less than either of the newer model Claro 6.2 and Claro 8.2
PM me your number and I'll whatsapp you photos, not at home to upload.

I made your Predator...  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
Yes, I am Valve Audio
And we demoed exclusively on a Predator at the Munich Show two weekends ago, You can throw virtually ANY loudspeaker at it, it just makes music..

Or whatsapp your number and name to 0826133693

Schalk the Procyon are absolute killers! Are the Claros seriously better than the Procyon if so the world should be told!??

Hi Chingy, provisionally on hold for now for opening poster. Shall inform you if not happening.

Hello Neil, Compadre !

I would have a very hard time to find the real better sounding between the Procyon and the Claro 6.2
Both stunners in their own right, and in my setup impossible to demo side by side. I managed to get the 6.2's up into my loft, not even going to try hauling the Procyons up there. That might just end up in a very flattened version of me with a Procyon imprint on my face or back of my head  Not that the Procyon is big or too bulky, but it does weigh a bit more..

Anyhow, not wanting to derail Joe's wanted thread here..

OK Guys,

Not my thread to contribute, but opening poster has found speakers so the Procyons are now sold.
Sorry CHINGY..
