interested if anyone has any going?.. 1150 i5 or i7 CPUs.. need to upgrade my daughters PCs :).. trying to avoid the tree.

Yes agree Carbonite was excellent. Found a Nice I5 (old generation) on there...

It all depends on your budget.

For most users i5 is more than enough.

i7 tends to be for more serious peoples.

But Carbonite is the answer to all your questions.

100% support on the i5 route, i7 is typically overkill for most users. i7 is more for users who take advantage of hyper-threading by using their PC as a workstation such as for video editing, executing complex finite element analysis on CAD software etc...and gaming enthusiasts with high end GPUs like GTX1080Ti, 2080Ti etc. (i5 or lower tend to bottleneck these cards in ultra gaming settings and/or high resolution). Other than that, no need for an i7.

What generation I5 do you want. I have a almost complete I5 a few years old. Needs hdd and maybe new Psu
