Wooddoc 10 you say ,how many coats and a light sand in between?

Benefit of the very hard, very closed grain wood - 3 very thin coats was sufficient, 4th was just to add the extra smoothness - filling the gran a bit more.

While I'm waiting for veneer, lids, hinges...

Here's another TD125 but a special one - the "LB" (Long) plinth to accommodate the SME3012.
Wood is African Mahogany.

TD125 "LB" received its lid. Motor unit fitting done. Staining done. Need to find anodised aluminum, either a U-channel that is exactly 42mm wide x 20+ mm or, worst case scenario, something like 50x50 L-shape to extend the orignal front control plate so that it looks proper.
