I've gotten it into my head that I want to build a set of bookshelf speakers with an amp to replace my logitechs. I've been through many articles and still I am lost as to what components I should choose. I think I want to go with an amp built around the LM3886, what would I need to complete the amp?
As for the bookshelf speakers, i want something i can use in a nearfield configuration, preferably using a 6.5" woofer with a tweeter. I don't need chest thumping bass, just accurate, clear, detailed sound. I've set aside a tentative budget of R1500 per a set. Is it at all possible to achieve what I want?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
