I have to concur with the above. I had problems in getting MSO to activate after a MB replacement and Rory sorted it out promptly, refusing to take payment for his efforts. many thanks, Rory!

+1 as above like most of the posts.  Legitimate key, activated and happy without breaking the bank.

Hi Rory
Buying activation keys is a lottery and Microsoft are wolves.
I sent you a PM.
Thanks

So gone are the days of R3,000 packages?

given that all you really need is the registration/activation string which can be e-mailed to you and you odnt need the discs and fancy packaging and documentation because you can download the cocumentation as well as the installation file sand write those to disc or place them into bootable flash drives etc - there really is no need for a complete package

it is a decent strategy by Microsoft because just charging small money for a registration string means that people who used to pirate Windows before would be tempted to have the legal version because it is so cheap that its a no brainer to "go legal"

Windows 10 is around 4GB IIRC - these things are normally on a DVD - i usually put them onto 8GB bootable flash drives after downloading - though i last downloaded when you were allowed the free upgrade up to 10 from 7

To: How big is Windows 10 on DVD and HDD?

► x32 (on the DVD ~ 2.5 GB, after installation on the hard disk drive ~ 9.0 GB)
► x64 (on the DVD ~ 3.5 GB, after installation on the hard disk drive ~11 GB)
