I'm doing some investigation in terms of managing cellphone costs.
We have around 60 cellphone accounts with Vodacom. They are used for both voice and data.
Many users are not office bound and use the data portions of the contract to create hotspots for laptop connectivity when they are not in the office.
For heavy data users, we are providing an additional LTE modem with a 10GB data only card.
I've just had to investigate an account that ran over R4k in additional data costs over and above the monthly fee.
This is truly mind blowing when you start adding all of these contracts together.
I'm investigating private APN services where we can buy a monthly, say 100GB, and it is then all shared between the 60 users.
Is anyone here using something like this? If so, through which service provider and how are voice calls catered for?
I'll appreciate some thoughts/insights.
