Not sure if this has been discussed but was wondering if tweaking the power supply to a dac in the following way would be acceptable and whether it would improve anything.
Dac needs 5v and 500ma
I gather the voltage must stay same so as not to fry the device, but if i increase the amps to say 1 or 2 amps, is this ok and what would the benefit be if any. The power would come from a lithium polymer battery pack.
