I am looking at using raspberry pi as an endpoint for Roon.
I need SPDIF output. I could not get any hats for the pi with SPDIF out on it locally.
I bought an X300 add on card but could not get it to work in Roon.
I eventually installed RoPieee and plugged my NuPrime uDSD into the USB. From there I used the SPDIF to the DAC.
This has brilliant sound. Still looking for a smaller footprint unit.
Can I get a better sound result?
