Pearl Jam - Black

All the songs you noted - but I really have to agree with you on Black.  Eddie Vedder is a fantastic musician.

'Strange Fruit',as done by Nina Simone. Anything more gut wrenching will be an ode to suicide...

'The first time ever I saw your face' by Roberta Flack is seminal in it's beauty and idealism  :cleansound:

^^^underated band (although they never IMHO had a classic album) first QOTSA album was probably the best they put together (Josh Homme and Nick Olivieri) then ‘Feelgood Hit of The Summer’ but other than that, very much diminishing returns afterwards

^^^One of the greatest tracks on one of the greatest albums ever recorded by one of the greatest bands ever.

I’ll add ‘Tooth Fairy Retribution Manifesto’ by Rodan from their one and only album ‘Rusty’ as well (although the Live version on the ‘Destroy All Monsters EP is possibly even better)

Funny enough I like the second and third albums best of both Kyuss and QOTSA. Kyuss just has a more raw sound which I prefer. Yeah, they never had a breakthrough album, however, they started something unique that, besides Yawning Man, nobody else was doing back then.

I can't believe no one has posted a Justin Bieber song yet...

Maybe we should invite him to join the forum.
