2SD188A or 2SD46 Output Transistors Anyone?
« on: February 10, 2020, 12:36:55 PM »
I have a Sansui AU777 that has had its output transistors (Sony 2SD46 originals) replaced with modern 2N3773.

Unfortunately there seems to be a low freq oscillation occurring now :(

Just wondering if anyone might have in a spares bin: Sony 2SD46 or apparently these amps also left the factory with NEC 2SD188A as well later in production.

I have one that had 2N3055 transistors fitted. It played OK, but I wanted to get the amp closer to spec.

Can't recall what equivalent I used but it was a very close match to the original transistors, I will have to look this up when I get home.

Thanks FD, probably new On Semis MJE15024 will be ok, but also would like to find something close to original. The On Smeis are max min4Mhz and the 2SD46 is min 10MHz
