Hi

I picked up a Tannoy Mercury MX 10 for beer budget money. It's had a little wear and tear in its 16 odd year existence, but still functions perfectly (to my ears)
I plugged it in instead of the Yamaha YST-SW315 which no doubt was a far more expensive sub in its day.
However, I am starting to understand statements regarding musicality and speed of sub woofers (especially in the case of the Tannoy being a closed box design)
Granted, both were placed in a corner (not ideal for a ported, downfirer like the Yammie) but the Tannoy so far sounds a lot better for music.
It lacks the pretty strong bump, thump and chest pound of the Yamaha during movies but that's to be expected considering the 75W vs 275W and ported design.

Any of you guys running two very different sub's depending on whether you're watching movies or listening to music? If so, how can it be configured, for easy switching?
