Hi all..

Following on this previous thread.
Vintage floorstander plinth with a tilt advise needed please
https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=19931&share_tid=74067&share_pid=875603&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eavforums%2Eco%2Eza%2Findex%2Ephp%3Ftopic%3D74067%2Emsg875603%23msg875603&share_type=t

So after some testing and testing and testing I think I would like to settle on simply raising the speaker to ear height.

Ok so...
Here?s an Internet pic
104824c8eebe969edd4aa21fab4dca5b.png

(It is about 800 wide by 300 wide( the current build in plinth at the bottom)

The requirements :
-Would like to raise it by 600.
The plinth must be heavy enough not to move easily cause the speaker is light in itself and irritating [emoji34] when it?s always moved..

The challenge :
-The speaker must not be decoupled from floor and must be fully closed on all sides as per current short built in plinth in pic  , so I suspect traditional spike based stands is out.
-The floor is natural stone tile, so uneven and with dimensions like this always cause a wobble..
-do not touch the original speaker.

Some of the thinking [emoji848] :
-Should I just make a 5 sided box [emoji403] turn it upside down open side facing the floor( push in tiny rubber spacers as required to get wobbles out and make sure it?s straight) , but how to make sure this is solid and heavy not to move easily.

-Should I just get a solid block of granite made and put the speaker on top of this and again spacers to level and rid wobbles due to uneven floor tiles. Cost of this if possible [emoji85].

Any ideas to help ? Materials recommended etc ..
Pls bear in mind it?s a 3k speaker not 3bars.

Much much appreciated.
