Then you had your priorities wrong. I can't see any amps.  :comfort:

It was actually a talk we had "Illnesses of the great classical composers" given by a Prof of Medicine.  We don't neglect the intellectual education of our members

The best attended meetings have been showing DIY speakers and also DIY amplifiers.  There have been several DIY speaker sessions and some superb examples were brought along.

So you are definitely aiming in the right direction and I think you will be amazed at the quality of what is produced

That's exactly what I'm hoping for... for people to bring their creations to the meetups to inspire others and to be inspired. I know we have a lot of talented craftsmen in SA.

Only saw this thread today - I'd be keen. Having a date may force me to finish my EL84 amp.....

Also only saw this thread now, I'd love to join! :D

WhatsApp group or email list, either could work well. I do not frequent this forum very often, a PM with details of either would be greatly appreciated.

Has this great idea died, gone missing in action or what? Any news about this?

Yes, unfortunately there is no news. There is not much interest in DIY and the idea has been dropped.
