These adapters are available for the m50x as well: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Adapter-and-Amplifier-BAL-M50X/dp/B01MFFH54C/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1542252784&sr=8-3&keywords=m50x+bluetooth+adapter

Advertised battery life of 6 hours however reviews indicate it is poor, along with some static noise

Funny thing is this one actually fits the M50x (although it looks weird)

Sound quality isn't brilliant but I wasn't expecting miracles from bluetooth, and only cost me about as much as a round for 4 down the pub.

Seems AT took matter into their own hands: https://www.audio-technica.com/m50xbt/index.html

I brought one of the M50xBT with Brainwavz angled sheepskin pads back for a friend in December. I think it's an awesome setup. Easily on the same level as the QC35/MDR-1000X with even more comfort and over $100 cheaper.

Not sure why one would opt for different pads? Brainwavz seem to make the M40x sound dry and bright, I can only think it'd be horrible with the M50's treble, and it's not like the M50 pads are uncomfortable. YMMV I guess.

In short, yes, some Bluetooth stuff is better than the rest, this one's not brilliant but that's the trade-off.

I'm sure AT's own implementation is probably better than this East Brooklyn Labs one.
