Consider these musings ignorance or bliss or both. Having just entered into this black hole of awesome, hoping you may or may not enlighten me on the following:
This morning while listening to my newly secured second hand records. I pondered over my plunger of coffee
How do they manage to recreate the same quality on record from live recordings without a recording studio, a lacquer to cut directly onto, to give to production houses to then produce the metal record, then the mother pressing etc...
How do they maintain fidelity if they are recording digitally live then take that digital recording of the live show and then reproduce that onto the record pressing?
I thought it was only possible if it was done directly from a studio?
