Good day,
I have a very nice Pioneer PL12 turntable with a very low hours (<50 hours) AT95E cartridge. I am running the outputs of the turntable to a Yamaha A700. I have some noise on the cables (grounding issue) as the noise increases when you touch the jacks. I will replace the cable some time in the future to remedy this.
The problem is that I have some midrange distortion on some tracks for example high notes with female vocals.
Which protractor can I use to align the cartridge ? Anyone have good success with this turntable and cartridge combination ?
Also, just for interest sake, should the noise on the amplifier (hiss) appear earlier when turning up the volume since the gain is higher ? This is what I am experiencing.
