I am sure I am not the only person to have believed that these were true.
Like steak would fix my black eye sooner or make it better. Our dog just liked me more because he knew as soon as I was done with it he was in for a treat.
Or that hot bread would give me stomach cramps.
And many others I can't remember but things I believed to be true because my mother said so.
