Electrical Help pls!
« on: August 10, 2018, 10:44:04 AM »
So Mr Rudimentary DIY over here thought he would take the day off to setup his new tank pump and controller.

Smart right?

Five minutes in and I need a little help from people who know more about this than I!

So the right hand connections show the mains connection on the controller, that’s pretty easy. Earth, Neutral and Live.

The left hand side is the controlled power to the pump.

V? U? And of course Earth

On the pump side it again indicates an easily understandable LNE.

The question is, which is Live and Neutral on the controller where it shows U and V?

Some reading tells me it doesn’t make a difference how Live and Neutral are wired on the controller, as the cap wiring dictates the direction of the motor?

Really don’t want to break the damned thing

Thanks - I did find that link, and what I based my “it doesn’t matter which way around” comment on.

I do see the diagram - I have no idea how to read it though.

I need “connect live to U” kind of diagram...

I think U & V are you motor phase wires.
Look on the plate.

Look on the plate.

The motor sticks to LNE
