Hey all,

Just joined here. This place always pops up when searching for help, so I hope someone can...

I have a Sony TA-F444ES Amp from late 80s, love to get this thing 100% working.
Just got this back from the second highly reputable audio professionals who also service top SA musician's gear.

It only had scratchy pots/buttons, first guy didn't fix it.
Second place charged me R2350 (R2000 "for parts"), still not fixed and now I have a melted (soldering iron) Tape 2 switch that doesn't work anymore.
I have to now get that switch replaced also, will I be able to find a generic replacement part?

Sorry for the rant, but how would you guys go about getting a oldie like this fixed, and with who?
