Philips 9710 Speakers in beautiful Cabs Made By Curly Cat
« on: August 08, 2018, 04:33:06 PM »
Unfortunately, these beauties have to go. These beautiful, fantastic sounding speakers were built by Curlycat. They have the legendary vintage Philips 9710 Full Range Drivers. These speakers were part of a Cary Processor, Bel Canto DVD Player and Crest Power Amplifier, and all I can say is that I had a most beautiful experience with these speakers. Imaging was superb. Absolutely no listening fatigue on these speakers. All who heard these CurlyCat speakers was pleasantly surprised at the amount of bass these speakers produced. This is surely going to be another one on my regrets list.

R2900? You will never be disappointed. You can't even buy the drivers in this condtion on its own for this price. Then there is the Cross-over components, the wood, the material, and then the most expensive of all; the design and labour to manufacture these beauties.

Kind Regards.

Bargain, just the cabinet worth the price asking.
Shamir, isn't this work as a single full range driver without crossover? Or it does have a crossover?

Hi Bearenzo. Thanks, it is a bargain. I also think you are correct. The Philips 9710 is a full range driver and no crossover required.

Kind Regards. Shamil

These do not have crossovers.
Normal bass reflex speakers.

Height 790 mm
Width 520 mm
Depth 390 mm

If I had the space to keep them and my open baffles I would never have sold them. They are lovely speakers.

Hi Julian. I drove them mostly with a Music Fidelity Typhoon Power Amplifier and now currently with a Crest Power Amplifier.
Kind Regards.

Sold. Thank you kindly to all those for showing interest to these fantastic speakers. Thanks Fredeb for organising the sale. Sorry to those who I could not send whatsapp pictures to (unable to take decent pictures), but I did include the original post which included pictures. But, nevertheless, please accept my apologies.
