I have got hold of a good condition Yamaha AX-1090 to drive a set of CM9's until something more interesting (and affordable) comes along.
At 145 wpc RMS into 8 ohm and 18 kg's, it's formidable. Late 90's. Haven't yet tested with the CM9's.
Can't find much about it other than HiFi Engine. Anyone had any experience with this?
Typical Yamaha sound of the period I guess?
As per my previous post below, I was originally looking for a pre to use with an old Nad power amp or even two Quad 303's, but this should be fun for now....
