Hello

I have recieved a Sony STR-DH1080 AVR that I ordered online today to find it's a 110V model  :sd:
I am looking at 3 options..

1. Sell it locally if anybody is interested
2. Run it on a 220v to 110v step down transformer
3. I still have time to return it to US but will loose a substantial amount on shipping and import duties I already paid.

My post here relates to option 2. How safe is it to run on a step down transformer which is large enough to handle spikes etc.. But is not changing frequency to 60Hz. IE the AVR will still be running on 50Hz
Then, can there be any issues with video standards through the HDMI as I am using a PAL standard TV? I dont want to loose any functionality at all as this is the reason I bought this Amp

Thanks
Don
