LF: single or double casette deck
« on: July 03, 2018, 11:39:11 AM »
I currently own a NAD 6050c cassette deck. It was not working when got it.  I stripped it, cleaned it, and got it working... sort of...  It has a mechanical problem (broken plastic parts) which I am guessing I will never be able to locate replacements for...

So!  I am looking for a decent single (or double) cassette deck, in good working order.  I am looking at the better known brands, circa early 1990s - NAD, Nakamichi, AKAI, Technics, Rotel, Yamaha, Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC.

What I would like:
1) Touch controls (ie not mechanical buttons)
2) Dolby C noise reduction
3) Black face (I love the silver stuff, but rest of my Hi-Fi rack is black, so I will stick with it)
4) Good working, mechanical and electronic

Nice to have:
remote
Dolby HX/HX Pro

I am in Alberton. but can move around JHB and Pretoria, if thats where you are...
If you have one gathering dust or occupying space in your hifi cabinet, I might be interested in taking it off your hands, in exchange for an appropriation cash token of my appreciation...

regards

Francois

I have been sorted.  I have taken a deck from one of the forum members.  Thanx for the people that responded!
