George Michael as my 5th. He could do a bit of Freddie Mercury.  A bit - when he went outside his safe zone.

To pick a "greatest of all" means you must sort of relate to the music.I always thought that Axl Rose has/had an incredible voice (never mind the person)

2 Lucinda Williams
3 Marianne Faithfull

The Guys

1 Johnny Cash (not one syllable he ever sung was untrue)

Then, as usual, I would like to put some hundred names, maybee under style or language, on an endless list of favourite voices, old men cant make up their mind.

Will think about this more but in the interim I feel obliged to add Adele - saw her live in the UK and the power and control is unbelievable. Exponentially better live than on CD.
