This one is particularly for the Car Audio guys, maybe you can help.

I have an aftermarket radio in my car that has a subwoofer output.
According the website it is a 6v output, which is supposed to be very good.

I isntalled a subwoofer with a budget amp, that i purchased to run the sub for now.
It wasn't powerful enough, and it barley did the sub justice.

Off i went and purchased a much better, and more powerful JBl monoblock, and upon installation, it was even worse.
The sub barley moved, even with gain and bass boost on the amps set to max, and and the subwoofer level on the deck also set to maximum  :vsad:
I checked everything and thought it was strange.

Then just to test, i connected another head unit, and voila, the sub came to life on the new amp.

So my conclusion is that the subwoofer output on my deck is actually super weak, and not sending enough voltage or signal to my new, less sensitive amp.

So what can i use to boost the signal from the rca output to the amp?

My research led me to this, which seems exactly what i am looking for, but it has been discontinued.

Any idea what other line driver i can use?
