@Tenflare
Decent response :dop: I think you and I might get along well despite our disagreement, I feel a few key questions  and points were ignored, dodged perhaps misunderstood or communicated; I'll elaborate on those when I have time again, until then.

I think we would get along too. I know that I ignored certain points but you did upset me a bit so my immediate response was "F the headphones and get your own back."

It's water under the bridge. And like I said, I will try not to be confrontational from here on out. I also welcome any opportunity to learn from my peers on this platform because that is why I joined.

Nothing but love, guys.

Imo the ATH-M70X are the best headphones ever ma....  :Whoohoo:
I now own HD598's HD650's... Which automatically qualifies everything I have to say audio-wise. :D

Whoa there PandaNoob...I have to assume that you're being sarcastically contentious here (or should that be contentiously sarcastic)?

One cannot simply throw an opinion out there without backing it up however, so regardless, I'll bite...  :nono:

WHY are the ATH-M70X "are the best headphones ever ma..."!??   ;)

Congrats on the Senns btw - enjoy.

It's far too late to be contentious over here... It has gone beyond that, and surprisingly enough, simmered down quite fast.  :cleansound:

I just brought my can of fuel for the fire that was being made. Personally, I have never heard the M70X, and am quite interested to see where my 'listening experience' would place me in all these differing opinions.

I would assume, that they are most certainly NOT the best headphones ever made though.  :dop:

All aboard the hype train.

Because the brand new M60x's are now available for order on Amazon. Only one review thus far -- Zeos Pantera -- and he gave them 5 stars whilst calling them his favourite portables. Make of it what you will.

The price isn't too bad so I can see myself buying these.

The irony doesn't escape me. Lol.

More so, I imagine, for Zeos.

Hmmm, there has been a few instances where Z's amazon review does not really correlate with what he has to say in a video...

I watched his unboxing of the m60x last night, and hes attitude was very "WHY AT!?" Will wait for his video review to get his full perspective on the thing.

I personally dislike the ear adjustment, and the whole headset seems flimsy. Nice squishy ear cups though?

Momentum on ears are half the price though...  :nfi:

His review is now out. I suspect it's sponsored.

I love Zeos' Top Gear approach to reviewing audio equipment. However, we don't always agree (For example, the DT990's).

Suffice it say, I will wait for more reviews to surface before actively pursuing these... but I'm definitely interested.

https://audio46.com/audio-technica-ath-m60x-review/

"At $199, this Audio Technica ATH-M60X offers a rare listening experience rife with detail and space.  Excellent build quality and Audio Technica’s rock-solid reputation only sweeten the deal.  But once you put these babies on and give them a listen, there’s no going back; this really is an impressive headphone that sounds nothing short of miraculous."

Some direct measurement comparisons:

The Sonarworks average measurements; the M40x is the unshaded one:
