I have experience with both. FiiO X3MKIII bang for buck, Dual BB DAC chips, Dual Op-Amps, SE and Balanced. Can be used as USB DAC, accepts up to 256GB micro SD. Line out, Coax Out, BlueTooth 4.1, 2 x covers, screen protectors etc. I own one.

I have had some experience with these and there are quite a few out there especially from the east. If you want to go for the real deal in my mind, go for Astell& Kern. Expensive but worth the money.

I've been interested in getting one of these for a while.

I don't trust the brand very much, and there are no reviews... But it has a nice form factor and it seems extremely capable for under R1200 landed.

seems that pyle sometimes do sell rebranded. items from other manufacturers.

but maybe consider spending twice as much on a fiio x3 gen 3 (black) available from cplan at 2,500.
plenty of comprehensive reviews on head fi, better specs, local support, dual dacs, - seems like a great deal to me.

i don't get a commission from cplan   :BWAHAHAH:
but the cayin n3 mentioned above is around the same price as the fiio x3 gen 3, & the hifiman megamini at 1,499 is pretty much in the same price league as the pyle, and has a lot of good revioews all over the web,
i suspect it is a terrific deal for anyone looking for a really affordable, very portable, and capable little dap.

Oh trust me, I'd have literally any brand other than Pyle.

I will probably end up with the X3 myself.

Every time I'm tempted to pick up a DAP I listen to something on my LG V20 and am reminded that I really don't need one.

My HD600 needs only 1V/3mA for 105dB SPL and the V20 easily delivers 2.1V/4.5mA
The amazingly well implemented Sabre DAC and smart gain make this a superb sounding DAP.
Add a pair of sensitive in ears and bliss is assured too.

Of course, the V20 cannot deliver the kind of control with the Senns that my desktop amps can, but who cares?
It sounds better than it has any right to IMHO.

Late to the party ... I bought a Fiio X3 Gen 1 a year or two ago. My one son has no annexed it so I bought a Gen III from CPlan on the back of good service from the Gen 1. Even nicer (but not as nice as some of the top end stuff), decent battery life and a great travel combo with Hifiman RE-400 in ears.

The Cayin DAPs also offer great value for money. According to the manufacturer the Cayin N5iiS is compatible with Campfire Andromeda - have not listened to the combo / cannot comment.

OPUS#3 is compatible with Campfire Andromeda / reasonably priced DAP.

COWON Plenue 2 is compatible with Campfire Andromeda - not a cheap combo.

Campfire offer an incredible musical experience when paired with compatible DAPs - not cheap.

DAP technology is advancing at a rapid rate however not many all-in-one units offer low impedance up to 600ohms to drive flagship headphones with the control of a desktop system.

Not punting the above brands - there are some very highly regarded DAP brands available.

From my experience, pairing and matching of Flagship Headphones / In Ear Headphones / IEMs is critical including the cabling and lengths.
