So looks like if NERSA has it's way, the days of walking into your local hardware store and purchasing a generator or solar panel/invertor system will soon be over. Is it going to be like the SABC, get your permit first before you can purchase a generator? Read some ware else that this is going to controlled by local municipalities. if you have a generator standing in your garage, not being used and you have no permit/not registered or what ever, they can disconnect you from the grid!!
