What format on an External hard drive?
« on: May 07, 2018, 07:32:06 PM »
Hi guys..would appreciate help on the following conundrum please:
I just got a Samsung 500g SSD, and would like to get my collection onto it.
This will be played through a Bluesound Node 2.
Which format should I be using NTFS or exFAT?
Any insights would be highly appreciated?

AFAIK a Bluesound Node 2 can read only FAT32 and NTFS. FAT32 is asking for trouble so yes, NTFS.

in order to ensure compatibility with most electronics, format in FAT/FAT32/exFAT.
