Parts Express offer UPS or "Economy Shipping".  I find when the order exceeds $100, then it is only UPS or UPS Expedited.  Really good service, the last parcel was delivered in 6 days, including SA Customs.   They pre-clear everything so it goes straight from the plane to the dispatch lorry

Chris, are you able to get 8v fuse-type bulbs - as used in some Pioneer Vintage receivers, 8v 250mA?

https://www.parts-express.com/8-volt-250ma-original-style-fuse-type-lamp-for-marantz-sansui-kenwood-yamaha-sony-and-o--070-120

I'll take 10 (92c ea) and I'm pretty sure that Keith (KOD on AVForums) will also need some.

As might be expected, some folk are in a hurry, so will close the order on 14th May.  I will be away from 17th to 26th, so hopefully the goods will be on their way by then

14 May still the date?

Yes, but if you can get it in earlier, I will send it off.  I think most who would have ordered have done so by now.  Total is just under $750,00 so far. Shipping seems to figure at around 25% of the price and all the components requested so far are small in size and weight

Someone wanted a pair of 8" speakers costing $160 and the shipping on this item alone was $120.  Hardly worth it IMO

I did notice for instance that adding those lamps that the shipping did not increase, so that is where you save in making a combined order.  If you had ordered them alone, the shipping would have exceeded the price of the item  (the lamps came to $9.20 and the shipping would have been $22.00).  With a combined order, the proportion of shipping is $3.00
