Eish. Why is it that I love technology but cannot grasp the concepts of what makes it tick ???
Anyway, got myself a PS3 yesterday and wanted to know the following.
1. If I buy an optical cable and run it from the console into my Onkyo receiver- will I get better sound than using the standard connector (L,R + audio) that comes with the console (currently got it plugged into the GAME section of the receiver)
2. Optical is only for audio isn't it? If so, do I use the video cable that comes with the console and just leave the L and R plugs unplugged?

PS- got my ass kicked by my wife playing Tekken 6 tonight so not in the best of moods
