Dahua IP Cameras and NVR

I'm hoping someone has experience with the above.

Currently I have a 4 port NVR controlling my cameras however I think it is a clunky solution and would prefer to simply connect the cameras to my PoE Ubiquiti switch and run NVR software on my Windows server

2 questions I hope can be answered

1. Do the Ubiquiti cameras use passive or 802.3af/at PoE (DH-IPC-HFW4300S, IPC-HFW1320S)
,
2. What is the best freeware I can use as n NVR on my windows NAS

Thank you

I'm not sure those two go together that well :point: . I've been looking at Zoneminder on a Raspberry Pi. Recently bought a relatively cheap wifi camera of Takealot to play around with.
In the word : Scent, is it the S or the C that is silent?

Yeah, I know what you mean. The PSS software is awful which is why I am looking around.

I have decided I don't mind paying for something that works properly
