Welcome to the restoration of the biggest pipe organ in the world!
Built by the Midmer - Losh Organ Company. The design and project leader was Senator Emerson Lewis Richard. He studied organs in Europe.
The organ consists of 33 112 pipes! The highest pipe is the 64 [ft.] Diaphone - Dulzian; it produces an astounding 8 [Hz]! It also features the Grand Ophicleide, which has a 100'' wind pressure under it, producing around 130 [dB] at 1[m] away!
The organ is located in eight chambers, allocated around the convention hall. This allows the organist to "move" the sound, almost like surround sound.
Firstly some pictures of the console and chambers and then links to documentaries.
