I?ve been blown away by the immediacy and transparency of the AR18 that i bought recently. After doing some reading the consensus seems to be the simplistic crossover design that gives it that special sound.. The only other speaker I?ve read of that uses a cap is the Reference 3A Dulcet, but i haven?t heard them. Are there any other speakers that uses a cap and why so few, I read that it?s all about the roll off of the speakers that need to blend together well if you want to use a cap only.
