Hey, guys. First off... I'm very much a total tube noob. I've seen a few cheap chinese tube headphone amps and pre-amps.I guess I'd just like to have a taste of tube tech. I don't have audiophile headphones and would like to get my hands on a good value for money type pre-amp. Is it even worth it? I'd like to use with a pc and high res lossless audio files. Like I said, total noob and would like some guidance on getting into tubes. Don't have a budget per se , but wouldn't like to spend a lot of money (Think 3,5k and up). I've also seen that there's a difference in the type of tube amps, with some being hybrids and some being full tubes. Also, how much gain would I get from putting in better tubes and also the accessibility of getting these tubes. Thanks in advance.
