Difficulty Typing Posts
« on: March 20, 2018, 08:59:13 AM »
Is it only me having a problem, or is anyone else finding it difficult to respond to threads on occasion? I'm having difficulty entering text into the text box, what I type often lags significantly behind what's displayed - it makes it quite a chore to respond to threads. It only started happening recently.

I've been having the same problem for the past two weeks. Big lag sometimes between typing and the letters appearing in the box.

I'm using Chrome browser on Win10.

Suspect it's something to do with the animated emojis?

Yea, all those emojis were my first guess as well - but they have been there for some time and it has only been the last two weeks or so for me as well.

Also using Chrome and Windows 10.

None of the other forums I visit has this problem.

Typing this in the Windows Edge browser and it doesn't display the same behaviour. :nfi:

Works fine with Firefox. Another reason to stay away from the all-invasive Chrome.

Firefox & Win 10 - no problems at all.

*edit*

Also tried Opera & Win 10 - no problems there either.

Yes, now and then there is a lag.  Last week there were a few days when it was annoying.  I put it down to using an iPad attached to a wireless repeater

Easy to solve:

Ditch Chrome & get a proper browser as opposed to a spyware browser. *tinfoil hat*

Opera and Firefox are to be recommended, if you insist on using Windows
