Hi guys,  I came across this on the Makro website today...
https://www.makro.co.za/electronics-and-gaming/earthquake-sound-earthquake-titan-tethys-reference-loudspeakers-real-cherry-wood-veneer-black-lacquer-finish-titantethys-E0934AA302A4413A9162473394115096EA

They also have other hometheater speakers, and even 2 different sets of shakers...

I know earthquake from the car audio world... but never knew they made hifi equipment, let alone a set of speakers costing R175k! (or R39k for the smaller model, and R14k for the entry home theater towers)!!!

From what I could gather on the web, these were introduced in about 2000/2001 in fairly limited quantity.

Makro also has an Earthquake 7 channel, 300w into 8ohm amplifier.

has anybody hear these or have any idea of how good or bad they actually are?

I can think of other very good speakers at R175k a pair!  so how would these stack up?
