Wireless technology for speakers/subs - any progress?
« on: March 13, 2018, 08:52:04 AM »
I know in the past it hasn't been a great idea to use wireless to put speakers/subs in places where cables can't reach - has any progress been made with regards to this?

I'd really like to move my one subwoofer to the back of the room - but I can't run a cable. I'd like to try one in each opposing corner of the room.

There seem to be quite a few. Including one listed on the svs site.

I do not think I'm doing my room justice with my subs where they are. Going to try move them next to the mains and see if the sound improves.

Would you include Bluetooth as being wireless?  I understand it has bandwidth issues
Even duct tape can’t fix stupid… but it can muffle the sound

I don't think bluetooth is fast enough?

Going to try move the subs next to the speakers  - see what it does to the sound... although I'd like the one sub at the back, its not the end of the world if I can get decent sound by just moving them.

Has anyone tried Soundcast's Subcast Wireless Subwoofer or Stereo Audio Kit with Transmitter & Receiver?

I might try that in a month or two... if it doesn't work out I can always use it elsewhere in the house.
