The deal finally happened where the Monitor Audio Platinum 100?s were mine! It was a nervous couple of weeks as I waited for some cash to come in, hoping no-one else would snap them up.
Norman is a great guy, always responsive to messages, and I?m really pleased that we got to do business. He even delivered the goods to me just after 5am on a weekday to suit my working hours. Thanks for that Norman, and I?m absolutely thrilled with them.
I?m not going to write up a big story on how they sound, as there is still the room treatment work to be done. All I?ll say is, to me, they are incredible.
I put together a basic cabinet today for the stack, which is now in an unfinished state as I let it sink in for a while and decide what finish to give it.
Anyways - here it is. Perreaux stack (DP32 pre-DAC, VP3 phonostage, 100p amp), the MA PL100?s on their stands, a Rega P3, and Apple Mac-Mini for all things digital. Monitor for that is on the side wall.
