I have the following equipment
Marantz SR7011
Halcro MC30 for fronts and center
B&W CM 10 s2
B&W PM 1 as center
B&W 685 as rears
I recently replaced my 2 x B&W ASW 610 subs with a Velodyne SPL 1200 and set it up using the Veldoyne MIC first and then Audyssey Multeq xt32 with all 8 settings. Whilst performing the Audyssey setup the bass / beep tones from the Velodyne was rather low in volume. Once complete the settings show that the front speakers are 5.6 meters away and the sub 8.6 meters away even though they are placed at the same distance. Audyssey also picks up that a Phase error on wiring of the front speakers even though they are correct.
The sound from the sub seems ok but I wanted to check if there is any better method to setup and why the distance calculation vary by almost 3 meters.
