Slim pickings it seems. I'll up it to UHD if there's anything worthwhile that wont break the bank.

What is your budget?
There are some really reasonably priced tv's currently at many retailers that you could look at.
Time to get back to when I enjoyed listening......no more upgrading, more of a headache than a pleasure

Worst case scenario (from a money point of view), is probably the R5500 to R7000 bracket that a new hisense 3000UW model will set me back. Trying to get in under it though.

Saw a few 40 fhd tv's at R3k. Search long enough and you'll find one.

Yeah I'm actually going to the house of demo for their clearance sale on Sat. to see what they've got.

Im sure you can get a 55in Sinotec UHD within that price range with a 5 year warranty...

Went there.  Stood in a queue for 45 mins. In and out in 7 minutes. Nothing worthwhile IMHO (too close to retail pricing for demo stock).

That might be an idea.. but they all seem to be android 4.4  :puke: :puke:

Found this one which seems good on paper https://www.sinoprima.co.za/product/50-uhd-smart-android-tv/  but can't find anyone stocking it.  Who's the "regular" IT  suppliers for sinotec... Rectron? Axiz?

That's a lot of TV for the money and even supports X265, apparently the Hisense tv's are pretty good and have 5yr warranty?
