^^^^ That looks good for first attempt. Got to love that globe! Presume that the black knob thingy is the on/off switch? If so what did you use as the switch? I'm finding it difficult to find a switch that can be incorporated into the design.

Yes it is the switch. It fits snugly inside a 22mm copcal fitting.

That switch is perfect! May I ask where you sourced it? Would like to get one to use in my next attempt at putting together a light.

At my local lighting shop. It's a common switch and most decent hardware shops should have. Places like Mantec too.

  hmm.. yes, and if you use  an ultra-violet lamp it'll kill all the bacteria on you so you won't need soap and water.

A few years ago I was looking and listening Joachim Gerhard’s new creations.   His friend Frans De Wit has his current amplifier on display.  Someone walked in and called it steam punk.  I thought it was a diss.

Looks great.

Do a search on pinterest if you are short on inspiration for new designs. I am inspired and in awe every time I browse through there. There are some really talented and creative people posting there.
