Acute Loudness Syndrome.

Uncontrollable and mindless force of habit where the rotary control on a amplifier, simply known as volume or gain, is turned to the most furthest mechanical position to the right as technologically possible.
Recapping of vintage equipment isn't restoration. By definition, restoration means returning to it's original condition.

Oh, what difficult hobby this is. When you hear something new you'll find yourself swapping out or upgrading kit.

Very cool video. I see they also have the pipe running off the speaker as shown in this video. One important thing to note is that the effect is only visible on camera. That is why you will note at the beginning of the video they state the tone generater freq = 24Hz and the frame rate is the same a 24 Frames per second. You can see the importance of these parameters when you change the tone generator between 23 to 25 Hz. The water flow direction on camera changes.

This post reminds me of the phenomena of Skingasms. I have searched this forum and there is no reference to it.

:stop:  i can tell you one thing - Lady Gaga or any of her music definitely wont give me a frisson as explained in That article  :sulky:

though i have experienced lots of goosebump inducing music or even har raising stuff that gives you chills as you listen (even had systems that didnt cost millions that created the effect)
