Little Dot MKII Tube Headphone Amp back on Massdrop @ $129.99

No idea as to shipping costs, and very little price difference compared to buying off Amazon from Douk Audio.
Still the de facto entry level tube amp in my book in terms of price/performance/fun.

Yeah there always seems to be at least one of the Little Dots on Massdrop,
but as you point out, the savings aren't usually that siginificant.
I'm more tempted by the OTL Darkvoice @ $199 (drop not currently active, but it reappears from time to time).

Ordering from the USA cost almost double after conversion to Rands, shipping and taxes, so the price difference buying here is not great. ($129.99 = R1588.60)

OK, a bit steep by comparison.

Take into account shipping and duties.
My Darkvoice cost to my front door was R4800 on the Massdrop special.

The Rand is trading at just above R12,22 currently and might strengthen some more next week, so Wantitall's price will seem less and less attractive. Might pay to wait a few days more...

Scott could probably beat that price though.

Yes, I am very happy with it. Very good build quality. To my ears, it sounds very good. It is easy to change the character of the sound with rolling the tubes. Replacement tubes are readily available. It only has two tubes to roll, not four, so easy on the wallet. Just had a NOS valve die on me, I can just replace that one valve. I don't have to bother about matching tubes, etc. But at the end of the day, it's all about the sound. Will buy it again. Definitely!
