Philips & Brother: an assortment of old stuff
« on: January 12, 2018, 01:52:00 PM »
Three Philips minicassette players for dictation purposes, two of the model 0096 and one System 500.
One Brother portable typewriter - the forerunner of the laptop! - model EP44.
One hand-held microphone and one set of headphones.
Everything needs a good clean-up, but the cables all seem to be present and intact.
I've taken photos, but Photobucket won't allow me to upload them without me upgrading my account.

Edit: OK, it seems to be working now!  :O0:

Are any cassettes included with the recorders, and what kind of paper is needed to print on the Brother typewriter?

Sorry, I never used them, so there are no cassettes, and finding some now might pose somewhat of a problem.  :???:
The typewriter can take any regular A4 printing paper, but whether you'd still find an ink ribbon for it is of course another question...  :OMG: :o

Luckily I have one cassette, so that won't be a problem, but yes, finding more would certainly be. Do you perhaps know what type of ink ribbon the typewriter uses?

I'll see if I can open it up tomorrow to have a look.
