NAD T787 - New
« on: January 03, 2018, 08:47:25 PM »
I have a brand new NAD T787 which is looking for a home.
A good friend of mine that actually plays in the automation space and doesn't sell AV kit was asked to supply a NAD T787 to one of his clients.
He ordered the unit and in good faith installed it. Within two weeks the client backed out of the deal and advised that he was not in a position to pay for the unit, so it has been removed and is now available. The unit is brand new, it has been connected for two weeks before being removed from the clients property.

As these units are new for around R65 000.00 we are looking to get out R45 000.00 (this is however negotiable)
The unit is in Cape Town.
The unit is in excellent condition.
Shipping can be arranged at owners cost / risk (I am happy to package up the unit / bubble wrap it. Probably in a timber crate as this is out method of shipping equipment sans original packaging) - This is a heavy AVR featuring two toroidal power supplies.
[30kg shipping weight]
Unfortunately no packaging or original owners manual.
Age: 2 months old

Photos of the unit:

Link to the NAD website:
https://nadelectronics.com/en_EU/product/t-787-av-surround-sound-receiver/

This is a high quality performer featuring two toroidal power supplies to ensure absolutely consistent power delivery across the LCR & Surround channels.
If you ware looking for a powerful 7.1 surround sound AVR this is powerhouse that is going to perform well.
From the NAD specifications:
Full Disclosure Power (all channels driven simultaneously)7 x 120W (20.8dBW)

Let me know if you have any other queries below or in PM.

Little bump at the month end here.
I am glad to see that the post has been viewed almost 600 times, but I have only been contacted about it once.

I am not going to announce a price drop as its not a rush to sell this AVR, but we would like to see it going to a good home.
Please send me feedback about offers if you are interested in it.

When was the unit purchased? It appears to be a rather old model with old AVR technology

The current model has similar tech. But can it be upgraded to Atmos and 4k with MDC add on cards.

It was 2 months old in january, so 6 months? I get the point though.

Online review is from 2012 so I'm a little confused.

I guess the important question is what is the current spec of the unit on sale. MDC cards installed or is it bog standard, no 4K, no Atmos etc

The unit is standard specification: High Definition & 7 x 120watt power output, all channels driven. Its is a true 7.1 powerhouse.
(At this stage only NAD T777 in their range supports 4K & Atmos)
