Boston M25 Bookshelf Speakers - Black
« on: December 12, 2017, 12:39:22 PM »
Got as part of a trade in.  Was in perfect, as new condition.  I carelessly packed it in the back of my car, but it slide around and knocked into metal speaker stands.  I couldn't patch the wood veneer so i painted it black.  Came out quite nice.  However there is a bit of minor residual damage.  Otherwise the speakers are immaculate.  ONLY the exterior of the speaker was affected.  All good otherwise.  Surprising amount of bass from these.  Selling at R750 below my cost - R3250.  Pics later.  Very good build quality.

Like the others in the M Series, it is available in gloss black lacquer or traditional walnut veneer, both with black faux leather trim.

Someone is coming on Monday to look at them and decide. Provisionally they are still available. It's first come first served

Hi all.  I think there is some confusion. These retail for R9990,00 - R11990,00 online in ZA.  I paid R4000 for them.  Selling them for R3250 not negotiable for now

Still available

These are very good bookshelves.  The current selling price should indicate the reasonableness of the asking price:

These were sold to a buddy, then I bought them back I liked them so much.  Lowest I will go is R3000.  These easily compare to B&W 685 or Monitor Audio RX2.

I played these against B&W 683 S1, Platinum Audio Studio 3 and Polk RTi-A3 - these do not have the soundstage of a these floorstanders and cannot compete with their bass, but considering the price difference between these Bostons and the aforementioned speakers, I could not justify keeping the floorstanders.  I kept the Bostons instead.

Lovely non-fatiguing tweeter with very good bass response considering their size
