the Focal Elears absolutely love the Sophia Princess, the bass is now better than on the LCD's. without EQ
the WA6-SE with the new tubes is an absolute beast
i cannot compare the amp with the standard tubes to the upgraded tubes.
sound stage is bigger deeper and more precise
it has taken the focal elears to a completely new level
they now rival the LCD's for enjoyment of the music with more detail and placement.
i have now gone back to no EQ, just enjoying the sound too much to change it.
tiny details like the tremor in a voice, noises in the background that were not audible before that can now be heard. and at the same time just magically musical.
end game amp? maybe not in the future but for now it is a keeper

WOW loving the music.  :groovy: :groovy: :groovy:

had to listen to the tracks again with the LCD's
:sd: i cannot fault the LCD's not the clarity or precise replication as the focal elears, but WOW WOW WOW
the musicality is still better in the LCD's
they are by no means muffled but the imaging and separation are definitely better on the elears
more silky smooth on the LCD's
if i had to choose right now i would bite any hand that tried too take either set

i wish i had more ears to listen with
