why can we not just be happy and stay with what we have.
my WA6-SE has now started to sound correct after +- 100 hrs of burn in
so why do i now feel that the sound is so good that i have to get the tube upgrades
i absolutely love the sound, the lyr is a very good amp, but where i find the major difference is, is in the low volume play back
i have now been making excuses to work late every night to listen to this amp, Dac and headphone combo
the voices are not in the center of your head but forward in the projection. not as good as speakers but the best i have heard on headphones. detail is up there with solid state, but with that magic that you cannot describe that is magically inserted into the tubes by the tube gods when they make them.
i am currently listening to Damien Rice Eskimo and that prompted me to write this
i keep thinking how much better than this can it get
i guess i have to go down that rabbit hole
