Following the passing of my wife in February this year, I have, like others here been caught up in winding up the Estate and all the related institutions involved.
I receive an email today, from the executor of the estate that the Home Owners' association of the neighborhood I live in is insisting that I pay the HOA fees again, this despite the fact that I am an existing member and that I am not moving physical address, just transferring the property onto my name alone.
Needless to say, I'm pissed as hell. Anyone else ever experienced this and is there a governing/regulating body that oversees HOA's?
